About Us

About Our School

From Muzaffarpur (1969) to Gonda

In 1969, St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Muzaffarpur β€” a minority institution β€” began the Xavier's journey in the region. Rooted in that legacy, the family of schools has since established 53 branches across Uttar Pradesh East and Uttar Pradesh West, extending its presence to Gonda as part of this growing network.

Gonda, Since 2001 β€” Training Young Minds for the Challenges of Tomorrow

In Gonda, St. Xavier's has served the community since 2001, striving to meet the full range of educational aspirations of families in the district. The school stands out for its distinctive academic ethos and a vision of formation that prepares children for a global outlook, supported by a dedicated management and faculty who give generously of their time and skill.

Social, Cultural, Scientific and Technological

On a campus of about three acres, Xavier's stresses not only academics but the holistic development of every child. Education here goes beyond bookish knowledge toward broad, balanced growth. Since its foundation in Gonda, the school has flourished by weaving together social, cultural, scientific and technological learning with the needs of the modern world.

Humanism is integral to life at Xavier's: it shapes how children learn, relate, and grow. To uphold this ideal, the school draws on a highly capable team of mentors, facilitators and counsellors from across the country.

β€œEducating the mind without morals creates a maniac in society.” β€” Shiv Khera

In this ever-changing world, we seldom think rationallyβ€”and the result is that we are always the last passengers to board the flight! We speak of modernisation and take pride in being in the twenty-first century. As Indians, it is our prime duty to help the ignorant and to face problems like illiteracy and communalism. Yet the young generation is easily overshadowed by westernisation and ends up forgetting the rich cultural heritage of our country.

When a child fails to redeem her or his honour, she or he might either become aggressive or turn inward; therefore proper psychiatric guidance and counselling is needed from teachers and parentsβ€”at home or at school. Teachers should be confident in their subject and should take up teaching as a profession with full devotion and dedication, in order to impart education in the true sense of the term.

Hence, a great effort is needed for the all-round development of every student. β€œTime and tide wait for no one”—keeping this in view, we should try to secure the best and forget the rest.

With sincere regards,
Mr. S Chandra

Creativity is the ability most valued in all societiesβ€”and the teacher who facilitates it can unlock wonderful results.

Creative children look up to their school teachers for guidance and encouragement. Teachers should recognise that creative children can become assets to the institution. Creativity is the ability that is most valued in all societies. Constant encouragement from the school helps these children exhibit their inborn abilities and skills. They believe they are pursuing what they presume to be truly worthwhile.

When a teacher can play the positive role of a facilitatorβ€”nurturing creativity from an early ageβ€”wonderful results can be achieved.

β€œI hear, and I forget. I see, and I remember. I do, and I understand.”

St. Xavier’s is a distinct milestone in the field of education. It aims to develop self-awareness, academic excellence and a global perspective in its students, and to prepare them for the twenty-first century.

A Chinese proverb rightly captures this truth. It is precisely the spirit of these words that we try to implement at our school. Students are helped to master the expanding horizons of technology while also becoming the repository of a deep commitment to Indian ethos and culture in its pristine form.

They are sensitised to environmental concerns, to feelings of nationalism, and to communal harmony.

The motto of the school is to provide quality education from the very elementary level in the city. We at St. Xavier’s are committed to helping our students master the expanding horizons of technology, develop self-awareness, academic excellence and a global perspective, and to become the repository of a deep commitment to moral valuesβ€”shaping Indian and global citizens.

Promising a beautiful journey of schooling at St. Xavier’s.

With warm regards,

About Us

Vision & Mission

Our Vision
Indian Culture & the Spirit of the Age

The institution envisages pioneering a movement that seeks to reintegrate Indian cultureβ€”by applying a modern critical outlook to its study: preserving heritage that remains meaningful, and having the courage to renew it through more effective expressions of the Indian spirit, in harmony with present circumstances.

We find ourselves in an era of liberalisation, optimism and a virtual revolution; no one can turn a blind eye to the need for sound education. It is time to realise, in concrete form, the vision that social reformers and nationalist leadership longed to see at the dawn of the twentieth centuryβ€”that was an age of idealism; ours is an age of implementation.

Our earnest hope is that, by receiving and absorbing the light that education provides, our scholars will be enlightenedβ€”and that the meaning of education itself may find vivid expression through our students.

Our Aim
Purpose & Direction

To provide a cost-effective base for pursuing a comprehensive education programmeβ€”developing academic knowledge and skills together with the essential ingredients of an entrepreneurial attitude and orientation.

  • To create related opportunities and activities for generating innovation and excellence.
  • We believe that a child is like a plant that needs proper nurturing to foster spontaneous, well-rounded growth.
  • We believe that, whatever a child’s background, each student has tremendous potential that should be unearthed and brought to the forefront.
  • To provide sound, all-round education through the medium of English.
  • Our aim is to nurture responsible global citizens whose potential we have helped unleashβ€”with a strong foundation of knowledge, skills and values essential to meet the challenges of the modern world.
Our Philosophy
  • We believe in the dignity and worth of each student and recognise the importance of their responsibilities to fellow human beings in the world community.
  • Youth should have equal opportunities for education, consistent with individual capabilities and with personal and social needs.
  • Education should encourage students to develop personal values and a thinking process that supports intelligent adaptability to a changing society.

Each student must develop

  1. Mastery of the skills of communication and learning.
  2. The ability to think clearly, logically and independently.
  3. Understanding and appreciation of cultural, scientific, economic and political ideas and practices.
  4. Good health and physical fitness, enabling students to live an energetic, wholesome and productive life.
  5. Appreciation of ethical and cultural values.

The school has a three-storey main building, set across about three acres of land, with spacious, well-ventilated classrooms and modern facilities to support teaching and learning.

The campus offers a magnificent building on a large, lush-green site with ample playgrounds. Rooms are well equipped and spacious, with adequate modern amenities in an eco-friendly environment.

There are separate staff rooms for male and female teachers, and separate washroom facilities for boys and girls. Drinking water points are provided on each floor, with filtration and cooling where required. The school has safety measures in place, including CCTV coverage and fire extinguishers in the building, with four exit points on each floor.

Different sections of the campus are purpose-designed to meet the academic needs of today’s learners and to support excellence in the classroom.
